Introducing the Noojee & District Community Development Association

From December 2026 the NDCDA leads community representation and advocacy for Noojee & District — here is where it came from and how to get involved.

From December 2026, the Noojee & District Community Development Association will lead community representation and advocacy for future opportunities in Noojee & District. We bring people together to strengthen community connections, support local organisations and speak up with a clear, coordinated community voice.

The association is the next chapter of the Shaping the Future of Noojee project, which began in 2022 with a contextual analysis by Baw Baw Shire Council and the formation of Innovation Working Groups. A project Governance Group carried that work through the Local Development Strategy and into the Healthy Forests Pilot Plan, for which Noojee was selected as a pilot site. In April 2026 the community incorporated the NDCDA to coordinate the ongoing projects, and in December 2026 the Governance Group completes the handover.

Your involvement matters. Whether you're a resident, volunteer, group or business, you can help shape the future of Noojee & District — join, participate, share your voice. Contact us at noojeedistrictcda@gmail.com.
